Hi John, this is just a quick note to invite members of fleet 24 to join us at our yearly One Design regatta at Nepean Sailing Club (Located in Ottawa Ontario Canada). I met some of your members (Adam and Todd) at the North American Championship last fall in CC Rochester and they had shown interest. I was supposed to join you for the Jackrabbit regatta but we couldn’t get in the water on time this year because thee water level was too high on the river and my team wasn’t ready to race yet. We’re only 4 hours away from you and we should take advantage of having healthy fleets so close together.

I can vouch NOD is an awesome regatta, and with it being so close, it's a great way to build some relationships and hopefully build up our regatta. People go to regattas that their friends are at. We go to theirs... they'll come to ours. Simple as that. It's a multi class regatta so there's like 100 boats total. So, 17 boat J/22 fleet, but HUGE party and awesome social scene. J/24 Canadian Nationals were there last year and a bunch of us went up for it. I'd HIGHLY suggest going if you can. It's got current which adds something that we don't see at CYC. Make sure you check out a chart, because there's some shallow water and a couple hazards if you get out of the race area. Unfortunately I won't make it this year due to another event. But I'd 100% be there if I could!
