Dear CYC Member,
It is hard to believe that the kids are back in school and autumn is starting to make her presence known. It seems that summer passes quicker and faster every year. My husband said that the reason for this was that at 5 years of age, a year is one-fifth of your life but at seventy, a year is only one-seventieth of our life. I guess that perspective makes sense.
The Board is in the process of looking at a budget for next year. This involves not only actual figures from the present but also guestimates at what next year will bring. It is important that each of you continue to pay your bill on time as our resources dwindle during the fall as your dues are being used up to pay for such things as electricity, air conditioning, telephone, TV, etc. The Board is grateful to all of you who consistently pay on time. If you are someone who has not used the Club a lot, this month’s statement will list any amount you still owe on minimum billing. Please make use of the Club so as not to pay for non-usage!
With fall approaching, some of you take off for warmer climates. Please contact Cheryl (paycyc@rochester.rr.com) with a winter address and dates, if you are a “snowbird.” If you have changed your email address, let her know that also. It is important to us that we keep in contact with you.
Our new website is up and running. There have been a few glitches along the way, but we are working through them. If you have a problem, please contact Laura so she can help you.
Enjoy what is left of the season. Come for dinner, drinks, or just to sit and relax. The chosen place cannot be beat!
