Membership Numbers & ClubExpress Transition

Membership Numbers


There is some confusion over membership numbers because ClubExpress is configured differently from our previous membership database.

 

 

At CYC"Member" as an entity has always referred to one membership held by a household or business. The member number you were assigned previously, refers to the household or business, not the individual. If Mary, Marty, Marsha, and Mickey are of the same household with a membership number: 123, they all use 123. This is no different in ClubExpress. The number you have always used, you can continue using.

 

 

This is no different in ClubExpress. The confusion is arising because every person is assigned a number in ClubExpress. The membership held by the household or business has the same number you have always been using. This number is assigned to the primary member. Generally, the primary member is based on the information submitted on the membership application.

For both the household and business memberships, additional members included in the account are designated as HH. Mbr. ClubExpress gives all these additional members a number. Continue using the number you are used to using.



Transitioning to ClubExpress

As has always been the case, there is only one login per household or business membership. Everyone in the household can share the same login to access member data. The website itself is always visible to the public regardless of whether you login. Some functions may require you to login before you can access the information (form, survey, so on).

Can I have a Personal Login?

The reason we don't give every member a login and password is because ClubExpress charges the club by the household (membership). It costs us more as a club to have personal logins for each individual in the club. Since the personal data of members can be configured by the member, you can determine in your household profile what others see. There is no real privacy issues associated with membership being linked to one login.

If you have a specific role at the club that requires administrative access to ClubExpress functions, such as creating Eblasts or Committees, your membership type will be changed from HH. Mbr. to either Secondary or Primary (determined by Admin) this automatically generates a unique login. If you believe you should have a login and do not. Click the button below.

I'm Not Getting Eblasts

Eblasts automatically go to primary account holders. If your concern is that you want to receive eblasts, and you are not the primary member listed on the account, please make sure:

  1. The household member (HH. Mbr.) and the email address is in the membership profile already (see Managing Your Membership Profile).
  2. Click the button below.
