CYC Gardening Committee – Volunteers Needed!

We are soliciting volunteers to form a CYC Gardening Committee within Buildings and Grounds. The Gardening Committee will oversee the maintenance and beautification of the plantings in Eileen's Rose Walk, around the clubhouse, under the sign on the front lawn, and could establish new areas of plantings as well. Do you have experience tending flowers and gardens, a willingness to get your hands dirty, and would take pride in knowing you've helped to make CYC more beautiful for yourself, the members and the community? Please reach out to Jim Walsh Building & Grounds if you'd be willing to participate.

The Gardening Committee will consist of 1-3 volunteers, with materials funded by our Building and Grounds budget. Work parties can be arranged for more labor-intensive activities, and CYC can assist with tools and transportation of materials as needed. It would be great to establish the committee before the end of this 2025 season so the committee can take action this year as well as prepare for next year.

We have such a beautiful property, and many thanks go to those who have volunteered their efforts to that end over the years. Today, there's definitely room for improvement and our plantings need more attention than they are getting. We're hoping that within our membership we have people with vision and experience and most importantly a willingness to contribute to CYC aesthetics. Please reach out with any questions or suggestions.

Thank you!
