Please Note!  Rules for Parking at the Waterfront

On Memorial Day weekend one of our Club families was prevented from enjoying a sail due to a large red pickup truck that was inappropriately parked between the hoists and left unattended for the afternoon. This was clearly in violation of our Waterfront Rules – specifically:

No parking is allowed on the waterfront blacktop at any time except for:

  • CYC work vehicles.
  • Vehicles temporarily unloading gear and provisions.
  • Vehicles that are actively being used for launching or retrieving a boat.
  • No vehicles shall be left unattended.
  • The roadway through the dry-sail storage area must always remain open.
  • The areas in front of the utility building, stairway, and hoists (except when
launching or hauling) must always remain open.

Members!  Please ensure that you and your crews abide by our Waterfront Rules so we can all enjoy our boats!
Should vehicles be left unattended, we will have the vehicles towed at the owner’s expense. For a full description of Waterfront Rules, please see our CYC Constitution & Policies, page 17.

Thanks in advance for your support and consideration. Happy boating!
