REGATTA AND SPECIAL RACE SCHEDULE 2008

April 27- J//24 Rustbuster.
This is a chance for the local and early arriving J/24's to make sure all of the parts are put together for J-Daze.

May 3-4 - J-Daze
This is the 19th Annual J Spring Invitational Regatta which is open to all J-24 class boats. NOR

May 10-11 - J-22 Jackrabbit Regatta INFO

May 26- Memorial Day Handicap
This race, as well as all of our Holiday Handicap races, is open to all boats on Canandaigua Lake. Sailors do not have to be a member of the yacht club to participate. There will be four classes of starts with prizes awarded to each class. Registration is $5.00 with the first start scheduled for 1:00 P.

June 25-28 - Force 5 North Americans - NOR SI

June 28-29 Flying Dutchman Cannonball Regatta

July 4th- Fourth of July "Firecracker" Handicap
This race is open to anyone on the lake who would like to sail. Membership in the yacht club is not required. There will be four classes of starts with finishes being determined by a handicap system. Registration at 11:30 AM, first start at 1:00 PM.

July 19- Hospice House Charity Regatta and Gala. MORE INFO

August 2-3 - Ensign Regatta

August 5-8 - Shark Catamaran National Championships

August 23 - Vanguard/Sunfish Regatta - open to Vanfuard 15, Sunfish and Club 420 Sailboats

August 30 - Squaw Island Race

September 1- Labor Day Handicap
This is the last handicap race of the season and is open to all boats on the lake. There will be 4 classes of competition with prizes being awarded to the winners based on the handicap system. Registration at 11:30 and the first start is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

September 13-14 - Canandaigua Multihull Open Regatta.
This regatta is open to any multi-hull class boat and draws many outsiders to the competition. This is a fun regatta for participants.

October 12th - Around-the-Lake Race - NOR
The annual Around-the-Lake Race starts at CYC and goes to a turning mark slightly north of Woodville at the southern end of the lake. After rounding the southern mark, all boats return to CYC. This race is open to any boat on the lake who would like to participate, provided the proper safety equipment is on board.
