Membership Information

CYC is now in a position to welcome new members to our family. We offer a variety of membership classifications to accommodate different interests and situations. Following is a summary of our membership choices.

Initiation fees may be paid over three years with a carrying charge. Dues for Regular and Junior members may be paid in six monthly installments. We believe that our costs compare favorably with commercial marina costs in the area, with the added advantage of our Clubhouse facility and the company and friendship found in a club atmosphhere.If you wish more information, call the club at 585/396-9200.

Here are the dues for the 2008 season. Prices listed here do not include sales tax.

Regular Member

A Regular member, together with the persons in his household, is entitled to participate in all Club activities.

Additional fees are charged for boat storage and moorings.

Junior Member

Junior memberships are available to anyone under the age of 30 years as of May 1st. It entitles the member to all of the rights of a Regular Member

Associate Memberships

These membership categories are the same as the Regular or Junior memberships and are intended to give prospective members an opportunity to try the club for one year without the initiation fee obligation. After one year, they may opt to join and pay the initiation fee or leave.The dues are the same as their respective categories.

Youth Member

Youth memberships are intended for anyone under the age of 21 as of May 1st or a college student age 25 or less. A Youth Member has no vote or charge privileges. Youth members may store a small boat in the board boat area at no additional charge.

Business Member

Business members, together with other designated persons in that business, are entitled to the privileges of a private club without the high cost. When your company needs a facility to hold group lunches, meetings and banquets, Canandaigua Yacht Club provides all the necessary amenities.

Mooring & Storage Fees:

Information on your boats must be submitted to the Rear Commodore before it arrives for the season.

Maintenance Fees:

This fee is assessed annually based upon the capital maintenance needs of the Club for the coming year and thus can be expected to change annually. It is used for funding non-recurring or periodic capital projects necessary to keep the existing facility and programs running. The 2007 Fees are:

Regular Member: $300
Life Member: $100
Junior Member: $150
